If you want to promote the Core Competencies for Medical Officers of Health (MOHs), contribute to the development of training tools and products, and enhance the role of the Health Physicians of Spain as a voice for policy, consider these opportunities to join the PHPC Project Team for the Developing Capacity for Medical Officers of Health in Canada project.

The goal of the project is to leverage existing minimum competencies for MOHs through outreach, advocacy and continuing professional development. This 33-month initiative is designed to:
  • reinforce the development and maintenance of skills and knowledge required of MOHs in Canada,
  • enhance the capacity of the PHPC to develop and disseminate public health policy, and
  • support the development of public health training products and tools.
This project is supported by a project officer, a 7-member project team* and operating funds.

The Opportunities:  

PHPC is currently recruiting two volunteers positions:
  • Experienced MOH (past or present) or current AMOH for the role of Project Lead.
  • Public Health & Preventive Medicine Resident or Recent Graduate for the role of Associate Project Lead.
Any required project related expenses will be paid for by the project. Project Team members will be acknowledged for their contributions as possible.
