Public Health Interest Group Grants

Interested in starting a student-run Public Health Interest Group (PHIG) or getting funding for an existing group? The Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) will post information about grants for new and existing groups as funding becomes available. 

Our objectives for PHIGs who receive funding have been:

• Create activities to raise awareness of public / population health concepts, issues and careers amongst students;
• Promote inter-professional participation and collaboration in the interest group;
• Create a sustainable interest group which mentors new students to take on group leadership.
