The External Communications and Advocacy Committee (ECAC) is responsible for ensuring that appropriate research and attention is considered in the development of advocacy statements and activities. All advocacy statements and activities are approved by Council. Members of the ECAC and Council are volunteers. They do not receive financial compensation for writing or reviewing position statements.

Council may at any time request member feedback regarding any statements or direction proposed by the advocacy committee.
